I love how Michal Rovner plays with meanings of “culture.”

Leon Golub: Your work has a kind of existential nothingness, populated with these fragments of human existence.

Michal Rovner: Or existential “somethingness.”

Golub: “Somethingness”?

Rovner: Yeah, instead of “nothingness.”

Golub: Emptiness.

Rovner: Emptiness or “somethingness.”

Golub: “Somethingness”?

Rovner: Why not?
